Godemiche ADAM-bi yellow & blue handmade silicone dildo

When I saw the Godemiche ADAM dildos at the December London Alternative Market, I knew I had to have one. Unfortunately, with Christmas expenses, I couldn’t justify the spend. But then Santa’s sex toy elves delivered me an early Christmas present, in the form of winning the Godemiche ADAM-bi yellow & blue handmade dildo in a competition!

Godemiche Adam

When the postman delivered the Godemiche ADAM to me, I nearly ripped it out of his hands. I’ve got other dildos, sure, but none quite so fun. If glass is the dildo equivalent of a sophisticated restaurant and a fine red wine, ADAM is the local dive bar where you sing along to hair metal while knocking back bourbon. It’s unpretentious, reasonably priced, and I know I’m going to have a good night.

Some people think it doesn’t matter what a sex toy looks like but I disagree. When I pull out a toy from my toy box, I don’t want it to look out of place in my hand or in my home. I want it to suit me. Most of all, I don’t want it to be pink or fluffy. Godemiche gives you the option of choosing your own colours and, because they are handmade, no two will be exactly the same. If you thought choosing any two colours from a choice of 12 was good, Godemiche have gone one further. They aren’t even charging any more than for their standard ADAM!

ADAM is made of premium grade silicone that is FDA approved and not tested on animals. Every beautiful inch of their products is body safe and non toxic, including the colours and glitter. Being made of silicone, they are hygienic. You can wash them with boiling water, put them in the dishwasher on the dildo cycle, or simply use sex toy cleaner and water. There are quite a few nooks and crannies around the head so pay extra attention to those areas when cleaning.

ADAM is firmer, girthier, and more draggy than my other silicone dildo (the Lovehoney Lifelike Lover 5.5 inch dildo).

I’m a fan of the firmness because I need a lot of pressure to orgasm but, combined with the girth, it is probably not the best beginners dildo. It’s definitely not a toy that you can scrimp on lube with. As it is silicone, the general rule is to use liquid-based lube such as Liquid Silk but, unusually, Godemiche recommend Give Lube Silicone + as they have tested it and found it safe.

At 5.5 inches in circumference at the widest point, it isn’t what I would consider a large dildo but it feels large due to the firmness and the bulbous head. When I insert it into my vagina, there is no gentle increase in size. It makes its presence known and I immediately feel the stretch. I wouldn’t consider myself a size queen at all but I like to feel filled and ADAM fulfils that need.

I find inserting it the ‘right way up’ really difficult so I have taken to inserting it ‘upside down’. The bonus of this is that the head is able to stimulate my G-spot. It’s not the most precise G-spot stimulation, but I enjoy the tease. I like to begin by using short, slow thrusts before increasing the pace and depth of thrust to stimulate my deep spot and bring me to orgasm. I’m fairly brutal with the way I bang my vagina so my method might not be for everyone, but if you like brutal fucking with a firm toy then you can’t go wrong with ADAM.

The Godemiche ADAM isn’t perfect though. The silicone is a little too draggy for my liking and the base is difficult to hold on to, especially when my hands are lube-y. I’d love to see Godemiche adding a handled dildo to their repertoire. A handle benefits everyone but especially those who have trouble gripping due to disability. They do have Lance, a fuck stick, but that’s for partner play and includes a leather handle covering which rules it out for me, as a veggie.

Despite it’s little flaws, I am in love with the Godemiche ADAM. I love it so much I even showed my friends a picture in the pub. If ADAM is what Godemiche are offering as their proto dildo, I’m really excited about the company.

Positives: Pretty! Very reasonably priced, body safe, not tested on animals.
Negatives: Draggy silicone, slightly difficult to clean in the grooves, would benefit from a better base or a handle.
Who should buy this: People who like firm, fairly girthy toys. People who want a unique dildo without paying a luxury price.

Price: £25 from Godemiche
Alternatives: For something less girthy try the Lovehoney Lifelike Lover 5.5 inch Dildo currently retailing at £19.99 but available in the 2 for £30 dildo offer
If you’ve got a bigger budget, try the Vixen Mustang Vixskin Bright Realistic 7 inch Dildo with suction cup available at Lovehoney.
