They say you should never judge a book by its cover yet it’s so hard to prevent those sneaky thoughts slipping into your mind. When I received the So Divine Wicked Game Magic Wand I was sure it was going to be a toy that would regularly feature in both solo and couples play. I felt sure the lightweight rechargeable wand would fix the only issues I have with the Doxy. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
The So Divine Wicked Game Wand is not without its merits. The silicone is soft and smooth so it glides easily with a little water-based lube. It is 100% waterproof so it is super easy to clean and can be used in the bath if that’s your thing. The size and weight mean it is easy to use alone and during sex. The magnets that connect the wand to the USB charger are strong so it doesn’t stop charging if the surface moves ever so slightly or I knock the wire (this is a pet peeve I have with so many rechargeable toys). All these things would usually make me give a vibrator top marks…but since a core function of a vibrator is to get me off, I can’t recommend the So Divine Wand at all.
The vibrations are so poor I couldn’t actually orgasm. I have literally never been unable to orgasm with any other vibrator. I may not find the orgasm satisfying, I may feel like it’s been ripped from me or I may have to speed come before I go numb but I have never been unable to at all. A combination of weak, buzzy vibrations and a broad head meant it roused little more than a faint interest. None of ten vibrating settings (3 speeds and 7 patterns) did anything for me.
But the magic of the So Divine Wicked Game Magic Wand is that it has two motors! Could the other end save the day?
No. The vibrations were equally bad but this time more pin point. Usually this would be a good thing but instead I felt like my clitoris was being attacked by a million feather dusters. Tickling is a hard limit.
Using the curved end internally at least offered some pleasure from the shape but it isn’t enough to redeem the So Divine Wicked Game Magic Wand. I could buy a better dildo for half the price and I’d recommend anyone considering buying the So Divine Wand for the shape does exactly that. What little joy the curved end provided was wiped out when I realised I couldn’t easily change the setting in use because the buttons were actually inside me.
All fur coat and no knickers (and not the good kind of no knickers).
Positives: Smooth, velvety silicone, waterproof, light, rechargeable Negatives: Weak, buzzy vibrations Who should buy this: People with more money than sense… I honestly don’t know. Some people do seem to like it but my experience makes it impossible for me to recommend it to anyone. Who shouldn’t buy this: People who like deep, rumbly vibrations Price: £54.99 from Lovehoney Alternatives: If you want a wand that will knock your socks off, try the Doxy. If you are after rumbly clitoral vibrations try the We-Vibe Tango. If it’s the shape of the internal end that piqued your interest, check out the Lovehoney Satisfy Me dildo.
